Joey was inducted into Canadian Racing Hall of Fame.

During Depression and World War II eras: voted BC's most popular horse, Canada's Top Money Winning Horse, Canadian Horse-of-the-year while setting the North American all time record.

Joey's horseshoes sold for $40,000, where Seabiscuit's brought $10,000, both at auction, to raise monies for the Victory Bonds Fund.

Joey's Santa Anita jockey, Johnny Longdon has a race named after him in Vancouver.
